Who is Elder Paisios?
Elder Paisios (July 25, 1924 – July 12, 1994), born Arsenios Eznepidis, was one of the most revered modern saints of the Greek Orthodox Church. He was born in Pharasa, Cappadocia (in present-day Turkey) and moved to Greece with his family as a child.
Elder Paisios spent most of his life as a monk on Mount Athos, known for his profound spiritual wisdom and counsel to visitors. His teachings were recorded by disciples and visitors, covering spiritual life, signs of the end times, and geopolitical events. He was officially canonized by the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople on January 13, 2015.
Elder Paisios's prophecies about the fate of Turkey, the return of Constantinople, the Russia-Turkey conflict, the dissolution of the EU, and electronic ID cards (the mark of the beast) are widely circulated in the Orthodox world. This site compiles his most representative prophecies and evaluates those whose deadlines have passed.
