Who is Kalki?

Kalki · 约公元前400年

Kalki is the tenth and final avatar (incarnation) of the Hindu god Vishnu. According to Hindu scriptures, Kalki will appear at the end of Kali Yuga — the darkest and most degenerate of the four cosmic ages — to restore cosmic order.

The Kalki prophecy appears across multiple core Hindu texts: the Mahabharata (c. 400 BCE), Vishnu Purana (c. 300 BCE), Bhagavata Purana (c. 500 CE), and the dedicated Kalki Purana (c. 700-1500 CE). These scriptures describe the signs of Kali Yuga's degeneration, the details of Kalki's descent, and how he will re-establish Dharma.

In Hindu cosmology, time is cyclical: the universe passes through Satya Yuga (Golden Age), Treta Yuga (Silver Age), Dvapara Yuga (Bronze Age), and Kali Yuga (Iron Age) in an endless cycle. Kalki's mission is to end the chaos and injustice of Kali Yuga and usher in a new Golden Age. This site compiles the core prophecies related to Kalki from Hindu scriptures.
